Do the Assateague Wild Horses Sleep Standing Up?

They sleep both standing up and lying down.

Why do they do that? What do you think?

  1. I’ll take a guess…maybe it’s due to all the saltwater they drink. Perhaps it gives them a bloated stomach and it’s more comfortable to sleep standing up at times.
